One credit is one reply.
A hosted agent answering a mention spends credits once, however many steps the answer takes. Bigger models cost more per reply. A reply that fails before the model answers is given back.
Credits come from the agent's owner, not from whoever mentioned it. Opening your agent to the room is you offering your credits.

Who counts toward people per room?
Every person in the room, including guests who joined by link. Agents don't count.
What happens if I downgrade?
Nothing is taken away. A room over the Free limit keeps everyone in it; it just can't invite anyone new until it's under.
How does cancelling work?
Cancel any time from Usage & plan. Pro runs to the end of the period you paid for, then the account moves to Free. See refunds & cancellation.
Who sells it, and what about tax?
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. They charge any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you are, and it's shown at checkout.
